If an authorized person cannot pick up a child, the child will remain at the reunification site. Students will be released to parents or guardians who have appropriate identification and are listed as a person authorized to pick up the child. When you get to the reunification site, please bring a government-issued photo ID and check-in with district personnel. If you are needed to pick up your child, the district will inform you of the reunification process via School Messenger. Traffic jams can impede emergency personnel and can make a difficult situation worse. Please do not go to your child’s campus unless instructed. Phone lines and staff are needed for emergency response efforts. Please do not call your child’s school. Information can also be found on the official district Facebook page or the district website. Updates will be provided via School Messenger. These will be communicated to you via School Messenger phone call, text message, or email. Please wait for official instructions from Milford ISD. We want to ensure phone lines remain clear for communication with emergency personnel. Please do NOT call your child’s campus. Visit the official Milford Facebook page account or the district homepage for information. This will ensure you receive School Messenger phone calls, text messages, and emails with emergency information. Make sure your current contact information is on file with your child’s campus. Should an emergency occur on one of our campuses, parents can get important information by doing the following: Our crisis management team has developed a comprehensive plan that guides all responses to emergency situations. We work closely with local law enforcement and provide training to staff members to ensure we are prepared in case of an emergency. We thank the parents, volunteers and visitors for their understanding and patience as we continue working to provide a safe and secure environment for all students, staff and visitors.Milford ISD is committed to providing a safe and secure campus where our students can learn and grow. Although the visitor will need to check-in with the receptionist each visit and receive a badge, he/she will only need to present the photo ID on the first visit at each campus. The ID will be scanned into the V-Soft system and a visitors badge will be issued if there is no alert indicated on the data base. Visitors to the school will be asked to show photo identification at the receptionist desk (driver’s license, state ID card, military photo ID). This might include information such as issues relating to parental custodial cases. The system also checks for “private alert” information which has been entered by campus administration. This system will identify all visitors to a campus. Most notably, this system tracks all Registered Sexual Offenders in the United States and alerts law enforcement and district/campus administration when a Registered Sexual Offender signs in at a campus. It also helps track visitors and volunteers who routinely visit their campus. The Raptor system helps the school office know who is attempting to gain access to the campus. Vsoft raptor update software#
Raptor is a web-based software application that helps schools track their visitors, students and faculty. Midway schools use the Raptor V-Soft visitor identification program which provides additional safety for students and staff. Visitors to Midway ISD campuses will notice a security system in place when they enter the school buildings.
